Amine-treated Bentonite Organophilic Clay CP-2 is a moderate temperature performance organoclay rheological additive.A modified bentonite. Organophilic Clay is a cost-effective product, particularly in all-oil, invert diesel and mineral oil based fluids, where sufficient shear is available to achieve full dispersion. Amine-treated Bentonite Organophilic Clay ย CP-2/CP-2A viscosifier are used to increase carrying capacity and suspension properties, providing support for weight materials and improved cutting removal. CP-2A has better high temperature stablity than CP-2, and especially in mineral oil CP-2A is better than CP-2. CP-2 is more costive is diesel oil mud.
