Organoclay for industrial coatings

Organoclay for industrial coatings

Camp-Shinning produces organoclay bentonite in both water-based and oil-based forms, suitable for use in industrial paints, including automotive paints, wood coatings, container paints, marine paints, road paints, and exterior wall paints.

Our organobentonite is a modified white powder specifically designed for use in industrial coating systems to enhance the rheological and thixotropic properties of the entire formulation, as well as its anti-settling and anti-sagging properties.

Organoclay for industrial coatings | Widely Applications

It can be widely used in solvent-based coatings, varnishes, industrial paints, and automotive paints. It stabilizes the formulation and improves stability during storage, ultimately optimizing the application properties of the coating.

Organobentonite has significant advantages, including strong anti-settling properties, good anti-sagging properties, and efficient thickening properties.

It is also very easy to disperse, exhibits good thixotropic properties, and is an extremely fine white powder. Therefore, it is a cost-effective additive in industrial coating formulations.

Organoclay for industrial coatings | Rheological Additive

Organobentonite has a wide range of applications. In solvent-based systems, it is used in industrial paints and coatings, including industrial anti-corrosion paints, heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings, metal machinery paints, marine coatings, container equipment topcoats, solvent-based primers, topcoats, and varnishes, as well as high-solids industrial paints. We also offer water-based organobentonite specifically formulated for water-based coatings.

We reiterate our recommendation that the dosage of organobentonite in solvent-based industrial coatings should be between 0.2% and 3%.

The optimal dosage should be determined experimentally. Furthermore, adding an activator such as methanol, ethanol, or propylene carbonate during application will significantly improve dispersion and maximize performance.
