Organoclay Thickener is a modified bentonite for Adhesives & Bonding Formulations (Bonding Agents).
Organobentonite plays its most significant role in adhesive formulations by providing superior suspension properties, anti-sagging performance, thixotropy, and effective viscosity control.
Camp-Shinning’s organoclay bentonite is suitable for use in both solvent-based and water-based adhesives.
Camp-Shinning’s organic bentonite clay is suitable for a wide range of adhesives, including:

Performance advantages of organic bentonite in adhesives and bonding agents:
Organoclay for Adhesives:
1) Efficient thickening and stabilization system, preventing separation and sedimentation.
CP- 34 is an organo clay (modified bentonite), designed especially for use in solvent based system. It can be used widely in solvents from low polarity to medium-high polarity.
CP-250A is a kind of purified and modified organoclay rheological additive, designed especially for using in binder based on synthetic oils such as vegetable oil, polyester oil.
Method and steps for adding organic bentonite to solvent-based adhesives: Pre-gel the organic bentonite. At this stage, add a polar activator to enhance dispersion. Options include 95% ethanol, methanol, or propylene carbonate.
Then add the organic clay under high-speed dispersion. The recommended dosage is typically around 2%.
For water-based adhesives, we recommend adding organic bentonite under high-shear conditions. No activator is required in this case, with a typical dosage of approximately 3%.
The specific dosage ultimately depends on your viscosity requirements.
