Rheological additive CP-180B is a new style organoclay with easily dispersing, super thixotropic effect, good transparency. Applicable to low and middle polar solvent systems, Organoclay bentonite has good anti-sagging, anti-flowing , ideal thickening and thixotropic property. Organoclay rheological additive is an improved grade of CP-180. It is more fine, and easier to be dispersed compared with CP-180.

2, Advantages

  • Exerts gelling efficiency over a wide range of intermediate and low polarity
  • Easy dispersing

3, Application

CP-180B is used in the following applications:

  • Transparent coatings
  • Nano-composite
  • Lubricant Grease, ink, sealant
  • Replacement of fumed silica
  • Cosmetic
  • OIl drilling mud

4, Using

CP-180B disperses under high shear and requires a polar activator (30%~40%) for best efficiency. Heat is not required to obtain good dispersion. Addition levels are typically in 0.2%~2.0%. Polar activator (95% Ethanol or 95% Methanol) is needed. Normally addition level of polar activator is recommended to be 30%~40% of CP-180B in weight.

6, Package

Kraft paper bag with PE liner or multi-wall paper sacks or customized. 25kg/bag or 22.68kg/bag or customized

7, Storage

CP-180B has a shelf life of 2 years, and should be stored in ventilated cool and dry place.
