Inorganic Bentonite for Aqueous & Water-Based Systems
Organoclay for aqueous coating – Water based paint & construction
Our inorganic bentonite is specially designed for aqueous systems, including water based paint, water based coating, and construction materials.
Such as :
- putties,
- plasters
- cement-based compounds.
This water-based bentonite is derived from modified smectite clay with strong swelling and thixotropic characteristics. It performs effectively in highly filled pastes and dense aqueous formulations, where a pseudoplastic rheological profile is crucial—providing high viscosity under low shear conditions and low viscosity under high shear during mixing or brushing.
It provides exceptional rheological performance in waterborne formulations, offering viscosity control, anti-settling, and long-term stability.
- In aqueous coatings and water based paints, inorganic bentonite (Water based organoclay) serves as an effective thickener and suspension stabilizer. It ensures smooth application, prevents pigment settling, and enhances the uniformity and gloss of the final film.
- For construction mixes, such aswall putties, gypsum-based fillers, and cement compounds, it improves workability and spreadability while maintaining excellent sag resistance and crack prevention after drying.
