Especially in high temperature and high pressure lubricants, organic bentonite is very successfully used as a thickener. Our thickening sulfur modifier, that is, organic bentonite, is used in grease. It is mainly divided into three models, CP 250 a, cpmpz and CP34, which correspond to different base oils of grease, such as diesel, mineral oil and synthetic oil.
When producing these organo bentonites, we selected high-quality montmorillonite as raw material and carried out sodium treatment. The content of montmorillonite is between 85~90%, and its moisture content is within 3.5%.
For grease, organic bentonite clay grease, we use a combination of dry process and judicial process, so that the organic bentonite produced after strict screening and production has fully realized its thickening, thixotropy and high temperature stability as well as lubricity and good suspension.
CP series organic bentonite has a wide range of uses at different temperatures. It can achieve high temperature stability of grease under high temperature conditions, especially under high pressure conditions.
Usually, when using grease at high temperatures, we recommend that you use our high viscosity organic bentonite with your high viscosity base oil. When using grease at low temperatures, we recommend using low viscosity organic bentonite and low viscosity base oil.
CP-250A is a kind of purified and modified organoclay rheological additive, designed especially for using in Grease based on synthetic oils such as vegetable oil, polyester oil. It has high gelling efficiency, fine thixotropy and perfect anti-settling.

Using
When it is used in Grease Lubricant, polar activator is needed. Polar activator is acetone/water(95/5). The dosage of activator is 20%-30% of the weight of CP-250A. And also high shear can promote the dispersing of CP-250A.

Note: With High-speed dispersant of grinding machine, and properly prolong the dispersing time, better gelatin performance can be reached.
The Lubricanting grease which uses organoclay as thickener will own high dropping point, thus can be used under high temperature and presents good impermeability and water resistance.
