Diesel Lubricity Additive Bentonite Organoclay is a grease additive. When the base oil is diesel oil in grease lubricant, we recommend our CP-34 to the grease factory. If your base oil are mineral oil or Synthetic oil， we have other grades to recommend you.

Diesel Lubricity Additive Bentonite Organoclay (modified bentonite), designed especially for use in solvent based system. It can be used widely in solvents from low polarity to medium-high polarity.

Using

Diesel Lubricity Additive Bentonite Organoclay CP-34 disperses under high shear and requires a polar activator for best efficiency. Heat is not required to obtain good dispersion. Addition levels are typically in 0.2%~2.0%. Polar activator (95% Ethanol or 95% Methanol) is needed. Normally addition level of polar activator is recommended to be 40%~50% of CP-34 in weight. If in xylene system, addition level of polar activator is about 30%-40% of CP-34 in weight.

Pre-gel is made as below procedure.

Charge solvent to mill
Slowly add CP-34(6-10% by weight of total pregel) to mill under agitation.
Mix at high speed for 5 minutes.
Add polar activator.
Mix at high speed for 5 minutes.

Slurry Thickening Agent Organophilic Bentonite is an easy dispersing, self activating bentonite organoclay. Slurry Thickening Agent Organophilic Bentonite exhibits high performance efficiency in diesel, low aromatic mineral oil, modified vegetable oil and synthetic base fluid formulation.

Slurry Additive Organophilic Clay CP-150 unique rheological structure suspends weighting materials and other solids with less increase in viscosity and gel strength than conventional bentonite. It is highly effective in distillate and mineral oil based invert fluids.

ApplicationCP-250A is used in the following applications:

Grease Lubricant(the base oil is synthetic oil such as middle-high viscosity petroleum, mineral oil, diester oil, polyester oil, vegetable oil etc.)
Wood coating

UsingWhen it is used in Grease Lubricant, the polar activator is needed. The polar activator is acetone/water(95/5). The dosage of the activator is 20%-30% of the weight of CP-250A. And also high shear can promote the dispersing of CP-250A.Adding a procedure as follows:

If condition permits heat the base oil to 60~70℃
Add CP-250A while stirring, addition level is 7%-10% of the total formulation. Stir 5~10minutes
Add polar activator, addition level is 2%-3% of the total formulation. Then add other additives, stir 25~30m
Use the pump to help it pass colloid grinding and homogenizer.
Deair, filtrate, pack.
