Anti Sagging Agent is produced by Camp Shinning.Rheologieadditive could assist paint manufacturers to produce anti settling paints. All anti settling agent from Camp Shinning has good thixotropy, thickening, dispersibility and high-temperature stability in paint formulation.
Anti settling agent also named paint thickening agent and thixotropic agent for epoxy (common name Organoclay ).
In paint industry, organoclay could use for solvent based paint and water based paint.
Anti Sagging Agent is adapted for aromatic solvent, ester, ketone, alcohol and resins in medium and high polarity such as two-component polyurethane, fluorocarbon coating, epoxy coating, zinc-rich coating etc.

The summary of anti sagging and settling issues is as follows:
1. The three products of fumed silica/polyamide / rganoclay bentonite are the most commonly used anti sagging agent, which can be used individually or in combination. Among them, fumed silica and polyamide are hydrogen bonding, and organoclay bentonite is that the negative charge on the surface of the wafer and the positive charge on the edge of the wafer attract each other to form a house of cards.
2. Use fumed silica, together with organoclay bentonite, the anti sagging effect will be better. However, the process of fumed silica is more demanding than the process of organic bentonite clay, and it must be ground to a certain fineness to be effective. When using organic bentonite clay together, the proportion of each has special requirements in terms of dosage. Improper dosage ratio will affect the anti sagging effect of the paint.
3. In terms of anti sagging performance, in low polarity, we first recommend our CP-34 and CP-180 to be used in paint coatings, which can effectively improve the anti sagging performance.
In the medium polarity, we recommend using our CP-10 and CP-180B, which will significantly improve the sagging properties of the paint.
In high polarity, we recommend the use of our CP-APA and CP-MP10, which will continuously improve the sagging properties of coatings and paints.
4. The combination of gas silicon and polyamide is also effective, but polyamide will affect the transparency, especially the transparency of some coatings
5. Organic bentonite clay is also effective when combined with polyamide, but it will also have transparency problems.
6. Using organoclay bentonite, there are many factors that will affect the establishment of the card house structure, thereby affecting the anti settling and sagging effect. This is why we often find the effect of using organic soil is average or unstable. However, if CP-MPB produced by Camp Shinning is used, the problem of card house structure can be avoided.
7. In the past few years of practical application, it is known that the anti settling organic bentonite clay CP-MPB can strengthen and promote the effective establishment of this kind of card house structure of organic bentonite clay, from ensuring its anti settling, anti sagging effect and stability of the effect, and use The process is convenient, does not affect transparency and has advantages in cost.
8. Anti-settling organoclay bentonite CP-MPB also has a very good synergistic enhancement effect when used in conjunction with aerosol. Some customers also use it as a primer to dilute and prevent settling. The effect is excellent. What Is The Application Of Anti Sagging Agent?
★Application in oil drilling
Anti Sagging Agent is the most basic lipophilic colloid in oil-based drilling fluids, and it is an indispensable additive. Bentonite application
Types of bentonite clay CP-DRI is suitable for all type of freshwater mud rotary drilling.
CP-DRI can also be used as a seal for earthen structures, slurry trenching, tunnel boring and foundation drill.
Mixing and dosage:
Mixing ratios are based on the use of freshwater; water purity will affect bentonite performance. For best results, acidic and hard make-up water should be pretreated with SODA ASH to a pH of 8.5-9.5. Add PREMIUM GEL slowly through jet/hopper mixer.The quantity of bentonite used is variable depending upon the depth of the hole to be drilled. Generally one tonne of bentonite is used to prepare about 100 barrels of mud.

25kg/bag; or 50kg/bag, packed by 800kg or 1000kg super sacks.
How To Use Thixotropic clay
- Pre-gel method
- Polar activator is not necessary:
- Main solvent xylene: 95~92%
- Thixotropic clay :5~8%
- Dispersing 5-15min, gel is finished.
- Polar activator is necessary:
- In aromatic solvent, the recommend activator is methyl acohol/water (95%/5%)/ acolhol/water (95%/5%), the dosage is 33%-45% based on the weight of CP-720B.
- In mineral oil (such as 200#), white oil, diesel oil, the recommend activator is methyl acohol/water (95%/5%)/acolhol/water(95%/5%), the dosage is 33%-60% based on the weight of CP-720B.
- Procedure of adding gel:
- Charge solvent and resin to mill
- Slowly add the gel
- Dispersing 5-10min
- Wetting agent (if required)
- Disperse completely to desired fineness
- Dilute to desired viscosity
- Add directly with powder
- Charge solvent and resin
- Add Thixotropic clay slowly
- Disperse 10-15min
D .Add polar activator (if necessary)
- Disperse 10-15min at high speed
- Add wetting agent and other additive
- G.Grind and next procedure
It can be added directly in powder under high shear condition. The addition is recommended to be before grinding procedure to get the best effectiveness. Addition level is commonly 0.1%~2.0%. If add polar activator and make pre-gel, better efficiency can be achieved.
