Oil drilling organoclay CP-E23 is a kind of organo clay rheological additive.  Especially organophilic clay is recommended to be applied in medium polarity and high polarity system including aromatic and aliphatic solvent.

Application

Rheological additive CP-E23 is used in the following applications:

Using

Modifier rheology CP-E23 can be added directly in powder under high shear condition. The addition is recommended to be before grinding procedure to get the best effectiveness. Addition level is commonly 0.2%~1.0%. In low polarity system such as mineral spirit, if polar activator is added, better efficiency can be achieved.

Dosage of polar activator is suggested to be 10%-20% of CP-E23 by weight

Organic bentonite Rheological additive is a kind of traditional organic ammonium montmorillonite organoclay, which is applicable to aliphatic and aromatic system of low-medium polar solvent, such as mineral oil, paraffin oil, toluene, xylene, 200# solvent oil systems.
 
This grade is mainly recommended for use in oilfield drilling fluid systems, especially in formulations based on diesel oil, mineral oil, or synthetic oil. Our organoclay provides excellent suspension and rheological properties in such oil-based mud systems, ensuring outstanding system stability. It also performs exceptionally well in high-pressure fluid systems. With its superior adaptability and stability, this oilfield chemical is highly recognized and favored by drilling service companies.
 
2,Application:
Organoclay, as a kind of thickening, anti-sinkable, anti-sagging and thixotropy additive, is widely used in industrial paint, terrace paint, casting paint, atomic ash, adhesive, grease, etc.
 
3,Usage:
Organophilic clay can disperse at normal temperature. Pre-gel is suggested to make out of it and, added before grinding. High shearing equipments should be adopted so as to achieve the best dispersible effect.Modified bentonite can be dispersed completely with polar activator including: carbonic acid allethrin, methanol/water (95/5), ethanol/water (95/5)or acetone. The best dosage of polar activator can be changed according to different systems, usually 30-50% of the organoclay rheological additive.
 
4,Dosage of organic bentonite Rheological additive
Organic modifier dosage in the system is usually 0.5-2.0% (percentage in weight).

Organoclay for oil drilling bentonite CP-160 is an easy dispersing, self activating Organophilic Clay. Rheological additive exhibits high performance efficiency in diesel, low aromatic mineral oil, modified vegetable oil and synthetic base fluid formulation.

Modified bentonite CP-160 unique rheological structure suspends weighting materials and other solids with less increase in viscosity and gel strength than conventional bentonite. rheology modifier is highly effective in distillate and mineral oil based invert fluids.
