Organoclay Rheology Modifier for Linseed Oil Paints
Organoclay Rheology Modifier for Linseed Oil Paints
The CP Series Organoclay Bentonite is an organic bentonite rheology modifier specifically suited for linseed oil-based coating systems. It significantly improves coating viscosity while enhancing sag resistance and application stability. It is particularly well-suited for various oil-based coatings and traditional oil paint systems.
CP Series Organic Bentonite clay directly increases formulation viscosity and enhances coating thickening properties. It delivers exceptional handling during application, ensuring uniform coverage. Post-application, the paint film resists sagging—achieving anti-sag properties—and forms a smooth, even finish.
This high-quality rheology modifier significantly enhances resistance to sulfurization, meeting demanding floor application requirements. It also boosts thixotropy, enabling excellent brushability and hold-out properties while preventing sedimentation.
Organoclay Rheology Modifier for Linseed Oil Paints
CP organic clay bentonite reduces pigment settling and improves finished product stability. Compared to traditional organo bentonites, the CPC series is particularly suitable for natural decorative paints and traditional oil-based pigments.
In high-solids or high-pigment oil-based wood finishes, CP series organiclay bentonite can be blended with conventional volume-dispersing systems while also performing well in high-pigment/filler formulations. It exhibits excellent compatibility with linseed oil.
Organoclay Rheology Modifier for Linseed Oil Paints
After incorporating organo clay bentonite as a thickening rheology modifier, your paint formulation achieves stable shear-thinning behavior with excellent viscosity adjustment under medium to low shear conditions.
This enhances control over application rheology while providing superior anti-settling properties, ensuring stable pigment storage throughout the paint’s shelf life.
Rheological additive for low to medium polarity solvent based coatings

CP-98 rheological additive is a general purpose organoclay designed for low to medium polarity aliphatic and aromatic coating systems. It also works well in other high polarity systems. It is a highly cost effective rheological additive for low to medium polarity systems.
