Rheological additive CP-180B is a organo bentonite.   Organophilic clay is special in mineral oil base drilling fluid diesel based, white oil based . Organic bentonite Modified bentonite can change oil base drilling fluid rheology, suspension of carrying  and in drilling fluid can improves cuttings carrying capacity and hole cleaning . Increases emulsion stability. Organic clay greatly improve the drilling fluid yield stress also improve the drilling fluid at low shear viscosity under shear, protecting borehole wall.

Application

Organic bentonite clay is used in the following applications:

Using

Organic bentonite clay it can be added directly in powder, with its addition to be 0.2~3.0%. Procedures are as follow.

  1. water (PH:7.0-8.0)
  2. Organic bentonite clay (Dispersing at high speed for 20-30minutes)
  3. Additive
  4. Pigment and filler (Mixing and dispersing)
  5. Emulsion (Mixing).
  6. Post correct.
