Organoclay how to use.Organoclay is a oil drilling mud Chemicals.It is a kind of organo clay rheological additive | thixotropic agent. As a modified bentonite, Organophilic Clay is an easy dispersing,self activating organoclay bentonite.It exhibits high performance efficiency in diesel,mineral oil and synthetic base fluid formulation.Especially rheology modifier is recommended to be applied in medium polarity and high polarity system including aromatic and aliphatic solvent.
Organic bentonite clay unique rheological structure suspends weighting materials and other solids with less increase in viscosity and gel strength than conventional bentonite. It is highly effective in distillate and mineral oil based invert fluids.

Organoclay how to use.
Using
Organoclay thickener can be added directly in powder under high shear condition. The addition is recommended to be before grinding procedure to get the best effectiveness. Addition level is commonly 0.2%~1.0%. In low polarity system such as mineral spirit, if polar activator is added, better efficiency can be achieved.
Dosage of polar activator is suggested to be 10%-20% of Organophilic Clay by weight
