一）What is organoclay?

Organoclay is an organically modified bentonite, derived from a naturally mine mineral. The composition is organic derivative of a montmorillonite clay. Organoclay is fine powder with light yellow,it is an amine treated organoclay.

二）What are the applications of organoclay?

四）How to choose good organoclay ?

Organoclay is white appearance and it is difficult to distinguish which one has good performance.So we can prove it through testing. So, what testing results can prove that organoclay is good or not.

  • If the organoclay use for oil drilling mud or fracturing fluids,

 it can be confirmed from the testing whether the organoclay has the following properties. If it has, it indicates that it is good quality organoclay

  • Effectively suspends weighting materials and other solids
  • Maintains suspension over a wide temperature range
  • Eliminates need for chemical activators
  • Is easy to disperse and rapid yielding
  • Suspends weighting materials and other solids
  • Maintains suspension over a wide temperature range

If the organoclay use for paints,coatings,inks,grease&lubricant,

it can be confirmed from the testing whether the organoclay has the following properties. If it has, it indicates that it is good quality organoclay:

  • High gelling efficiency
  • Light color gel
  • Produce reproducible thixotropic consistency over a wide temperature range
  • Imparts particle suspension, preventing hard settling of pigment and fillers.
  • Exerts strong film reinforcing action in organic binder systems.

五）What are the packaging of organoclay?

Normally,our organoclay packed in 25Kg/bag or 27Kg(50lb)/Bag.

The package:Kraft bag or kraft complex interior with PE or customized.

六）How to store organoclay?

Organoclay should be stored in ventilated cool and dry place.

Store life: 2 years.
