Rheology Modifiers Coatings | Organic Bentonite Clay is a coating additive. As a thickener agent in coatings, Rheology Modifiers also is a Thixotropic agent and dispersant.

Rheology modifiers for waterborne paints and Rheology modifiers for solvent paints are two types of rheology modifiers.

Here we recommend a grade organoclay CP-20 is an conventional organo clay (modified montmorillonite), it is suggested for solvent of low and medium polarity range.

Rheology Modifiers Coatings have fine characteristics of thickening, anti-settling, anti-sag, and storage stability.

Using

Rheology Modifiers In Paints CP-20 disperses under high shear and requires a polar activator (30%~40%)  for best efficiency. Heat is not required to obtain good dispersion. Addition levels are typically in 0.2%~2.0%. Polar activator (95% Ethanol or 95% Methanol) is needed. Normally addition level of polar activator is recommended to be 30%~40% of CP-20 in weight.

Storage

Rheology modifiers CP-20 has a shelf life of 2 years, and should be stored in ventilated cool and dry place.
