Bentonite Slurry Additives is a oil drilling chemical, Organophilic clay could increase yield point and gel strength. Organophilic clay could provides solids suspension,prevent top seperation of oil. Organophilic clay is mainly aided in filtration control.

Storage
Organo bentonite CP-160 Store in a dry, well-ventilated area with temperature of 0℃-30℃.  Keep container closed. The quality guarantee period is 24 months.

Currently, there are corresponding models in drilling mud, whether used in drilling fluids or fracturing fluids and some completion fluids, which we can recommend to you.

Please tell us your base oil correctly, such as diesel, synthetic, mineral oil, etc. According to these different base oils, we have different organic bentonite clay models for you. These models of organic bentonite reflect different suspending and thickening abilities.

Using

It can be added directly in powder under high shear condition. Addition level is commonly 0.1%~0.8% of total formulation by weight. Polar activator is required to achieve better performance. The addition procedure is suggested as below.

1. Firstly add resin in solvent.
2. Add organoclay under slow agitation.
3. Disperse under high speed for 10-15 minutes.
4. Add polar activator.
5. Disperse under high speed for 10-12 minutes.
6. Add wetting agent and other additive.
7. Grinding and next procedure.

If to make pre-gel, better efficiency can be achieved. Addition level in pre-gel is 5%-7% of total pre-gel in weight. Pre-gel procedure is as below.

1. Add resin in solvent under mixing
2. Add organoclay under slow agitation.
3. Disperse under high speed for 5-10 minutes.
4. Add polar activator.
5. Disperse under high speed for 5-10 minutes.
