Bentonita modificada orgรกnicamente Camp-Shinning product is a CP series thickener bentonite. This is a organo clay with an overall grayish-brown color and a specific gravity of 1.6. It primarily functions in oil-based drilling fluids, imparting viscosity and suspension properties while achieving a solidifying effect.

Organo bentonite enables long-term suspension of weighting agents in drilling and packer fluids. The CP series thickener exhibits slower viscosity build-up compared to Thickener No. 2, yet delivers comparable final resultsโ€”typically achieving equivalent performance after one drill rotation. This thickener is particularly favored in diesel-based drilling fluids, maintaining stability up to 400ยฐF (204ยฐC). However, organophilic clay should not be used in oil-based drilling fluids lacking high-performance clay.

Selecting this product offers two key advantages: First, its high-temperature resistance, maintaining stability at 400ยฐF (approximately 204ยฐC). Second, its filter aid control feature simplifies and enhances process efficiency. Rheology modifier primarily addresses three user needs: 1. Enhances hole cleaning efficiency 2. Increases viscosity in any oil-based drilling fluid 3. Suitable for gel-type oil-based muds used as long-term weighting agents in packer fluids and casing slips. This product is packaged in 50-pound bags (approximately 22.7 kilograms) using Camp-Shinning’s CP series organic clay.
