Organophilic bentonite can be dispersed with a small amount of polar activator at high speed shear. Organic bentonite clay is applicable in sealants, high temperature lubricating greases, bitumen paints, chlorinated rubber paints, high-grade paints, furniture paints, etc.Organic modified bentonite clay can be added at any step. Then polar activator dosage is 20% of organoclay with dispersion at high speed or by mill. Usually, the dosage in paints is 0.2-1.5%, while in high thixotropic or thick paints is 1-2.7%.
